Dr. Matthias Zilbauer is a Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Cambridge and an Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Gastroenterology at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. His clinical and research interests focus on paediatric inflammatory bowel disease, mucosal immunology, and translational medicine. He leads research exploring molecular and epigenetic mechanisms of intestinal inflammation, with the goal of advancing diagnosis, risk stratification, and precision treatment for children.
